Atlantic Cape’s 57th Annual Commencement Ceremony to Highlight Week of Graduation Celebrations at Mays Landing Campus

MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College will celebrate and salute our student’s hard work, dedication and well-earned academic successes at the 57th Annual Commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 16, 10:30 a.m. on the Mays Landing campus Quad.

Dr. Brian BridgesThis year’s commencement keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Brian Bridges, secretary of higher education, State of New Jersey. Dr. Bridges is responsible for policy development and coordination of higher education activities for the State. He also coordinates strategic initiatives, informed by the State Plan for Higher Education, to enhance postsecondary opportunity with a focus on equity, access and affordability for students from all backgrounds. As part of Governor Murphy’s administration, Dr. Bridges has supported expansion and development of statewide programs such as the state’s Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) and the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF).

Caps, gowns and honor stoles must be ordered in-person or online at the Atlantic Cape Follet Bookstore by Tuesday, April 30.

Atlantic Cape Graduation Fair 2024Students may attend to all of their graduation needs at this year’s Grad Fair on Thursday, April 25, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Student Center, G Building lobby on the Mays Landing campus. It will be a time for upcoming graduates to gather important information on commencement, transfer partnerships, Alumni Association benefits and available Career Services resources. The day will feature cap decorating, free on-site professional headshot photograph or graduation portrait, purchase/pick-up of commencement regalia, graduation toast, live musical entertainment, and door prizes and refreshments.

This year’s Commencement Week schedule:

  • Scholarship Recognition Banquet: Monday, May 13, Jonathan Pitney Gymnasium, 6 p.m.
  • Radiology Graduation Ceremony: Tuesday, May 14, Walter E. Edge Theater, 3 p.m.
  • Athletics Banquet: Tuesday, May 14, Jonathan Pitney Gymnasium, 5 p.m.
  • Academy of Culinary Arts Graduation Ceremony: Wednesday, May 15, Mays Landing campus Quad, 11 a.m.
  • Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony: Wednesday, May 15, Mays Landing campus Quad, 4 p.m.
  • 57th Annual Commencement: Thursday, May 16, Mays Landing campus Quad, 10:30 a.m.
